Inspired by Zen gardens, Orbu is an AR game with engaging slingshot mechanics. Players transform their surroundings and embark on a journey over seasons, guiding their Orbu creatures -- Tanuki (racoon dog), Noko (turtle) and Konkon (fox) -- through a series of obstacle courses, leading them to their spiritual homes. Where will Orbu take you?
A friend of mine worked on the app so I had early access to it. Fwiw, I also demo'd the game this week to a middle school aged son of a friend who loved it.
Pros:Delightful interactions with the wood characters
Levels interesting to explore, particularly at room scale
Cons:Prefer to play on a phone interface to an ipad interface
It's a fun game with a slingshot mechanic, a little like a golf game but most of all it's gorgeous!
