What do you think? …

This is such a great way to make chemistry come alive 🔥 👩‍⚕️ 👨‍⚕️ 🔥 ! I can imagine great applications for education. Are there any plans to support portable VR headsets like Daydream and Gear VR?
Edgardo Leija
@lanre__akin Hi Lanre. We couldn't agree more. Due to the low processing power of the current mobile VR headsets and lack of 6 degrees of freedom right now our efforts are mostly focused on the Rift and Vive. However, we are definitely a fan of more portable solutions and are excited to hear about any updates on the Oculus Santa Cruz today at OC5.

Hey there PH, Nanome started as an art project in the world's first Nanoengineering department. We wanted to create a tool that made nanoscale design not just visual, but intuitive— like Legos or Minecraft. Great scientists deserve great interfaces. No more chalkboards. Today, researchers, students, and educators use Nanome to explore, understand, and create at the nanoscale. Now, anyone with a VR headset can use Nanome to: * Import structures from online databases, like PDB and DrugBank * Modify molecules using the entire periodic table * Simulate minimization on molecular designs * Collaborate in shared rooms across the globe Nanome is compatible with all popular VR headsets and available for download on Steam, Oculus, and VivePort. Give it a try and tell us what you think! Thanks! Steve p.s. If you don’t have access to a headset, explore our YouTube channel to get a taste of science made simple. https://www.youtube.com/channel/...

Very cool! Are there any plans for this to be macOS compatible? @stevenmccloskey
Steven McCloskey
@stevenmccloskey @ghundermark Yes! Many scientists and developers have requested macOS support as well. We will port Nanome over as soon as macOS supports VR hardware.
