Find local guides in every country, without overpaying. Explore the world with local agencies. Perfect for adventurers, reporters and anyone seeking an immersive experience.
😰 Problem
As I aim to explore every nation, I often grapple with a decision when planning visits to less touristy destinations: either risk meeting locals who may only have a Facebook page, or resort to first-world travel agencies that simply act as middlemen with local agencies, often inflating prices significantly. For instance, in Syria, my local guide revealed that these first-world agencies could mark up prices by up to 70%, just for making contact. 🤯
What I seek is a way to connect directly with credible local agencies without the hefty price tag.
🏝️ Solution
I've meticulously curated a directory of over 100 verified local agents across 54 countries, all neatly organized ✅. You can find local agents for countries including Syria, Nicaragua, Mali, Oman, Mauritius, Somalia, Afghanistan, Cameroon, Chad, Costa Rica, Bhutan, Haiti... 🌍.
Upcoming agents are coming 💪
@simone_bertolone, thank you. For sure, we need to allow people to travel the world safely and empowering locals. There is more world than Europe, Thailand and Indonesia 😂
@subidubi I will let you know when I add countries that are family-friendly for travel (hopefully within next week). I will be testing them first-hand 🤜🤛 😊
I'm truly impressed with 'Move with Locals' for offering authentic travel experiences at reasonable costs. It's great how it connects travelers directly with credible local agencies, supporting local economies and providing genuine insights. Excited to see this platform grow with more agents and countries.
@victormolla14, thank you for your comment. I have often been deterred from traveling to certain countries due to this issue: the dilemma of overpaying versus the risk of encountering problems with local services. I hope this project will be helpful in addressing that concern 😊
La diferencia entre viajar con locales o con gente de fuera son 2 universos. Ya me explicarás tu lo que pinta un guía inglés en el Omo Valley de Etiopía con la tribu de los Mursi 😅
