The first application of its kind that helps developers and data scientists quickly deliver live prototypes that use data from the sensors that are already part of the Android and iOS devices we carry with us everywhere. Similar to how a picture is worth a thousand words, a live prototype can speak volumes about how impactful a new idea can be. Imagine how different a conversation would be with a potential customer, an investor, or an executive if they can actually try your prototype next time they engage in the relevant real-world activity. The Moonsense Recorder allows you to: ✅ Record: It takes just one tap to collect data from your device's sensors while engaged in a real-world activity. ✅ Organize: We provide the cloud infrastructure required to securely store & label your recording sessions. As the data streams from the device, you can access real-time summary statistics in the Moonsense Cloud web console. ✅ Prototype: You can connect your backend & data processing logic to deliver prototypes that anyone can be invited to try and give feedback on (Python SDK) In Mobility, the Recorder app can be used to characterize the motion of cars, humans, airplanes, and anything in between. So much of our world is in motion and there is often a mobile device tagging along for the ride. In Fraud & Risk, through the Recorder app, you can explore how you can integrate signals from the real world into your fraud detection models. That is useful for synthetic identity detection, account takeover prevention, and many other use cases. In Fitness, the recorder can be used to characterize how people engage in physical activities to help them stay active, fit, and healthy (like counting the number of squats) The possibilities are endless and so far we have barely scratched the surface. Whoa, what were the chances. I’ve been getting into powerlifting and the latest trend now is to measure the velocity of the bar for the three main lifts. The theory says that you should set a slow speed cutoff point for your reps and stop the set when you arrive there. This is because lifting to failure makes you more prone to injury without giving you much “gains”. All the consumer devices cost $400+ and the pro ones are an astonishing $2,000. Even if the industry is new, it is ripe for disruption. I was wondering why nobody has thought about using a smartphone to track the bar speed, but I guess it is hard to bootstrap an app and use the accelerometer sensor. Not anymore I guess with this SDK. I’m uncomfortably excited by what can be built with it.

Been using this little jewel for a while now as part of the early beta and it made it so easy to gather mobility analytics. Didn't want anything fancy, just something that gets the job done and is easy to use. Love the model they use and seriously consider giving the SDK a go with an app I wanted to build for a while but wasn't really keen on going through the hassle of dealing with all the damn sensors Great job, keep it up 💪
