Really interesting concept! I like this idea a lot. Don't currently have any open source projects earning anything 😂 But will keep this in mind for the future! Are there ways to share cap tables with investors? Also This could be a silly question, but how does it work if the project generates $ revenue to translate that to digital currency?

@britt_joiner MTE actually works for any collaborative project, not just open source ones! About USD revenue, it depends. In general the quickest way is to swap USD -> ETH and send it to the project's slicer. The problem then often becomes how to automate this process.

Merge to earn is a GitHub app to automate rewarding contributors with a slice of ownership over a project and its earnings, when pull requests are merged. It enables a transparent, equitable reward system for collaborative development in any repo. Contributors can get paid proportionally to their work, and earn based on when their PRs were merged. This results in an incentive towards continued contributions and leads to becoming actively invested in a project's success.
