What do you think? …

Isaac Martin Otim
A few years back I asked myself a question, "Why has the way we browse the Internet not changed much in decades?". We have become accustomed to searching for links (seasoned with ads) and not answers. So, what is Mentionitis? A better way to use the Internet. A single source of truth. A distraction-free way to read, search, and browse the Internet. We pride ourselves in sourcing and providing human-reviewed search results and definitions where possible. While this comes with its drawbacks, it drastically helps improve the accuracy of results provided in our search tool. Is that all? Not at all. With the idea of improving the way we use the Internet in mind, we have a few more useful tools built in. Bookmarking links without opening them first (yes, that seems like a basic need after all these years), managing your browser windows, tabs, bookmarks, etc. all from one central location for when things get messy. We also threw in a bookmark reminder so you can get back to the things you save and not simply forget about them. Who is it for This is a great tool for those who require little-to-no 'hallucination' in their searches as consistently provided by countless popular AI tools and wrappers. When Mentionitis doesn't have answers we'll let you know. As a side effect, if you're learning English (or not a native English speaker) it can be quite handy as well. What this is not This is not a ChatGPT wrapper or a summarizing tool, you can find a handful of those all over the Internet. Probably one or two have launched here today as well, haha jk. In all seriousness, I love to see the AI tools Makers launch and many are quite impressive and robust. That being said, we embrace AI technology (actively playing with it) and actually have plans to integrate it in a meaningful (yet moderated) way into Mentionitis. We are still very early in the process, and this only serves as a proof of concept - that barely scratches the surface. Thank you all for your support and I hope you'll stick around to see what we can build together in the coming months.
