I signed up, but felt misled once I got the verification email that told me to add in a script tag to my site. If I had known that was part of the process, and explained up front, it wouldn’t have felt as bait-and-switchy.

@spjpgrd thanks for the feedback. I’ll make that clearer as I wasn’t intending for it to make people feel bait-and-switched. Honestly I’m just confused how my product is on PH today when i listed it and it posted 13 days ago.

I needed a simple, no-fuss, background tool to know when my customers' sites are mentioned on various publications and sites. I needed to eliminate the element of surprise when a certain feature was getting published. Mentioned By sends you an alert email the first time you get a feature from a particular article or publication. For instance, if you're mentioned in a new Forbes article, you'll get a single alert the minute you start receiving traffic from it. You can make the most of that mention. No need to login to a dashboard unless you want to add other administrators or add sites that you choose to ignore alerts from. Super simple was the goal, and I figured others would find this useful too, which is why I'm offering it for free!

This tool is proving its worth to me. What’s funny is that I posted this on Product Hunt 13 days and it didn’t get any attention. But somehow it’s on the front page today? Haha I’m honestly confused, but woke up to all of the mention alerts. So I’m not as surprised as I could be and was able to comment here today.
