Loving this new tool by the team that brought you Proxi. I know many people are using ChatGPT for experiments, but wow, MapsGPT is not just for fun but has really good utility. You're going to love it. Check it out, plan a trip, and start exploring the world. Find me on Twitter if you wanna see what I make for my upcoming trip to Hawaii. Great work Chelsey and team!

Big thank you to @imsabakarim for hunting us! Hi Product Hunters! I’m Chelsey Roney, COO of Proxi Interactive Maps. Our team at Proxi is excited to launch the newest version of our product MapsGPT today. There is no better way to get reactions than from early adopters on Product Hunt. Your constructive feedback is welcome! MapsGPT combines Proxi Interactive Maps with OpenAI content, which has never been done before. With MapsGPT, you can explore the world and enjoy generative map content based on your inputs provided through a mad-lib prompt. ✨The newest version of MapsGPT includes a total of six prompts to generate maps and enhance your experience. ✨ These are two of our newest prompts: 🧳 Itinerary builder: Plan me a {# of days} trip to {place} for {persona & interests} Example: Plan me a 5 Day trip to Prague for a foodie and history buff 🔮 Vibe Check: Generate a map with {vibe} to do {activity} near {place} Example: Generate a map with cozy vibes to drink coffee and read a book near New York City MapsGPT is momentous for Proxi because it’s a step closer to a world with more meaningful personal navigation. Here’s the problem AI will help us solve: When people search for places-to-go and things-to-do, they need more nuanced results than what current technologies provide. For instance, folks searching for restaurants on Google don't necessarily care about generalized categorizations like food type or number of stars…what they are trying to uncover are factors hiding below the surface, like if the restaurant will impress their in-laws or if the restaurant is okay for toddlers to go to. This nuanced result is exactly what AI will [eventually] allow Proxi users to achieve. We’re starting on this solution with the map generator you can see on mapsgpt.com, but we are actively chipping away at the future of finding the places you are really looking for with more advanced query and suggestion features. I’d love for you to generate a map at https://www.mapsgpt.com/. Let me know what you think! Chelsey

Super proud of this launch! It was amazing to see Proxi technology applied so effectively as a tool built on top of ChatGPT. Especially now that we've upgraded to GPT-4 for even better results, I find myself laughing out loud during QA - definitely a new experience! If you're looking for a tool to help you trip plan, look for date ideas, or even just give you a laugh, MapsGPT is the tool for you.

@maddie_clayton Really impressive idea! Would it be okay to include your product in my directory (producthunt.com/products/wikiaitools)? Check it out and let me know!

@carter_wang We would love to be included!

💡 Bright idea
Hi Team, well done on your launch! I was wondering whether there was a way to somehow broaden/narrow down the search? For example, in the video you use locations linked to Elizabeth II's reign as an example and only a handful of them appeared. Would there be a way to let MapsGPT know that I wasn't happy with the results and wanted another iteration?
Melinda Haughey
@mzatorski Hi Maciej! That is a great point and definitely something we will consider adding. It would be awesome if we could serve the responses, allow you to click which ones you like, then generate more based on that. I’m the meantime, you can open the map you created in our native builder (Proxi) and use the AI in there to add even more points to the map. Thanks for the feedback. Really appreciate it!
