Mailbob is a platform that helps you create and publish an email newsletter in seconds. Build and manage your subscribers, import/export lists, track your audience engagement and more.
Hey Hunters!
My name is Konstantin, co-founder of Mailbob. I was really disappointed when Twitter shut down Revue a few years ago, it was by far one of the best and simplest newsletter platforms around. I've used it for most of my content projects and I loved it. That was around the time I started thinking of building an alternative, one that would carry on some of Revue's values, most notably its simplicity.
Then, with the Chimp's announcement of their TinyLetter shutdown, the "thinking" quickly became "doing" so we started building Mailbob – a simple newsletter platform for personal brands and small businesses.
To celebrate our Product Hunt launch, we're granting an additional 2000 monthly emails permanently. Use the PH2000 coupon to redeem the bonus. Works on both paid and free plans.
Enjoy!
@kovshenin Hey Konstantin, I am launching our newsletter soon. was curious to know how do you flare against Beehiiv kind of platform and any specific advantages that you offer. Asking cause we have zeroed on to it.
@imraju Thanks for your comment Raju, I think Beehiv is a great option and their editing experience is quite simple and spot on as well!
It's hard to go up against their feature list as they've been around for ages and seem to tick every possible box, however being small and young we do have the advantage of moving quicker and working closer with our early adopters to solve the problems they're facing, rather than just shipping new features.
We're also, very much likely, going to have the best WordPress integration (given our history and expertise), but I am a bit biased, so we'll just have to wait until we actually ship that :)
Thanks again for your support!
@kovshenin Really appreciate your response Konstantine. Sometimes startups need to make a difference in their post sales to make their mark. I am sure Mailbob does that. I will surely consider trying Mailbob for my other newsletter.
Mailbob is simple and straightforward. I get a bit intimidated every time I login to Mailchimp, but with Mailbob I feel like I can get straight to the content and be on my way.
Their support is quick to respond as well!
Mailbob has one of the worst interfaces I have ever seen. I uploaded almost 100 subscribers from a previous list and my newsletter has been sitting in “Staff Review” for two days. I emailed them but no response. On top of that, in trying to figure out their horrible interface I copied my previous newsletter and set it to send as well and now the copy is also in “Staff Review.” Why does the staff at Mailbob need to review my newsletter? Will they send it without notifying me first? What happens if my customers receive a copy of the same newsletter when I’m not looking to see if they have completed their review. There was no set it up in seconds at all, there isn’t even a place to take your newsletters back to draft or stop them from sending because of this “Staff Review” setting. So now I get to do damage control with my customers. Not intuitive, not helpful, the worst newsletter app there is. It is not even comparable to Tiny Letter.
