There are many similar products to this one, some free and open source, and some commercial: Moom - http://manytricks.com/moom/ Divvy - http://mizage.com/divvy/ BetterSnapTool - https://itunes.apple.com/de/app/... Slate - https://github.com/jigish/slate SizeUp - http://www.irradiatedsoftware.co... ShiftIt - https://github.com/fikovnik/ShiftIt Cinch - http://www.irradiatedsoftware.co... Spectacle - http://spectacleapp.com/ Mjolnir - http://mjolnir.io/ Each falling at a different place on the spectrum from "easy to use" to "extremely configurable". I couldn't tell where Magnet falls on this spectrum from the screenshots. I had to read the marketing copy or, really, the App Store description to figure it out, something that users sometimes don't do. I'm a fan of using actual screenshots in marketing, with annotations if necessary. Magnet seems to be taking the angle of utter simplicity, which I like. Definitely going to give it a try.

@conradev BetterTouchTool is another great one I've used with functionality beyond just window snapping. https://www.boastr.net/

I use Moom, it uses keyboard shorcuts, drag and snap, and a nice little shortcut when hovering over the green full-screen button. http://www.producthunt.com/posts...

Magnet may be a great new tool, but it's hard to beat Moom. Moom does all things Magnet does and then some. Moom lets you save app windows positioned wherever you want them and restore them with a single key-combo or by selecting the option via the Menu bar. It can move and zoom windows at the same time and lets you define custom grids and layouts. Powerful stuff.
