Macro PDF is a fully-featured PDF app that makes your documents interactive and editable. Click any cross-reference (e.g. Fig. 2, Ch. 3) for a preview window and navigate with multiple tabs like a browser. It's great for academic papers, legal, and finance.

Hey everyone 👋, I'm Jacob, founder of Macro (macro.com). We're building a new suite of AI editors for common document formats like PDF.
📃 My background is in AI research and I read lots of papers, so I'm excited to show you Macro PDF: the best way to speed-read papers!
💭 Our unique feature is the "AI Popup": just highlight some text and hit "Explain" or "Bullet Points" or "Translate" to call AI inline without leaving your page. AI popups help me quickly understand complex papers while keeping me in flow.
🔎 My favorite feature — this is a simple one — is the ability to CMD+K to search and switch between papers I've read instead having 47 tabs open.
📚 Our most powerful feature: chat with PDFs split-screen and get citations back to the sections it references. I recommend using Claude for smart answers, Grok for hot takes, or Gemini with its 2M token context window for asking questions of dozens of PDFs at once.
