# Why We Built LocalStory
Local travel is booming—but finding authentic local insights still takes too much time.
Most travel content is either ad-driven or focused on the same overexposed tourist spots.
We wanted to change that.
LocalStory is a travel platform where real locals (and slow travelers) share meaningful places, personal memories, and cultural context.
By doing so, we’re redefining how we discover and connect with the soul of a place(Currently available on iOS only).

- Share your local experience: Record your own hidden gems and help other travelers explore the side of a city that guidebooks miss.
- Beyond Tourist Spots—Local-Shared Experiences: Rather than the usual tourist hotspots, discover local places that residents truly love and frequent — filled with memories and meaning. You can also find hidden gems shared by travelers who’ve explored these areas themselves.
- Language Integration: Curated local tips in English(We’re starting with English and plan to add more languages soon).

- Expand local coverage: Our current focus is on curating local travel information from Korea, with a roadmap to progressively expand throughout Asia
- Create real-life experiences: not just information, but hands-on tours and activities in partnership with locals
