We did a test, and, we very quickly heard from a AI ranking fee-for-service provider. Do you share who is running searches on your platform with a 3rd party? Or is this a lead generator for another company you own?
Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I’m Pete - founder of Waffle (social app for real-life friends), CandyCat (GTM agency), and now: LLMSEO Monitor - a tool with a terrible name but a great purpose.
Here’s the problem:
🌍 LLMs like ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini are becoming people’s new search engines.
😬 But brands have zero clue how they show up (if at all).
💡 So we built a tool that answers: “What do AI models say about me?”
LLMSEO Monitor lets you:
🔍 Run real queries (like "best hairdresser in Gardens, Cape Town")
🤖 See how you rank across major LLMs
📥 Export sources, track visibility, and take action to improve
📊 Use it for brand monitoring, SEO, PR, outreach, or curiosity
Why I care:
Google traffic is tanking. LLM answers are on the rise. And yet... no one knows how they’re being represented in this new layer of the internet. That’s wild.
We’re early - expect bugs, broken things, and moments of delight.
@peterbuch This is a smart move — as LLMs reshape search, understanding your brand’s presence there is crucial. Excited to see tools like LLMSEO Monitor helping bridge that visibility gap and empower brands to navigate the AI-driven web. Great work, Pete!
@peterbuch this is brilliant! finally someone tackled the blind spot we all have with LLMs. been using perplexity and claude for research lately and had NO idea how my own products show up there
reminds me of the early days when we scrambled to understand google's algorithm, except now its 3+ different AI brains we need to optimize for lol. the export feature is clutch - already running queries for our main keywords.
one thing that caught my eye: you built this in a week?? thats insane. most mvps take months to get this polished. definitely bookmarking this for our next product strategy session.
congrats on the launch pete & team! this is gonna be huge once more people realize traditional SEO is becoming... well, traditional ¯\_(ツ)\_/¯
@stainlu Hey Stain, thanks so much. I agree, we probably need to monitor how people search for brands across 100s if not 1000s of different LLMs. That'll only work with (ai powered) software like LLMSEOMonitor.
We've built this in 1 week, yes, and I think the basic version was built in a day. So if you ever need support building or launching stuff let me know, happy to help
@peterbuch I'm confused on how to use this. Yes it gives me very useful results when I ask for recommendation. But how do I use it to improve my website's visibility? How do I use it to tell me what I'm doing wrong and the things I need to improve? How's the prompt supposed to look like
@peterbuchI have one more question – will your tool be able to detect whether someone's website content is being recommended by LLMs? I found some tools (e.g. https://www.isyourwebsiteready.ai/ or https://skilfut.com/ ) and would like to know whether there will be any implementation of "score meter" or something like that :)
@busmark_w_nika that's a great idea. We certainly could do that, but we want to keep our tool as simple and user friendly as possible. So my short answer: We are playing with features like this.
@__tosh interesting @Shopify and Wix. Can't really see the usecase for our products here, but I can see why it makes sense for consumable goods or clothes.

@harmonygrams great questions, thanks Harmony. I'm happy to jump on a call and help with that if you'd like? type pete.chat in your browser to book
Waffle
@peterbuch @harmonygrams search about the category your product is in, for example:
"best saas for scheduling social media posts"
and then take a close look at which sources ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude used for the recommendations.
LeadDelta
@peterbuch good work as always Pete!
