Hey everyone! 🎉 We are thrilled to introduce Llamao! As passionate developers, we wanted to create an AI assistant that prioritizes privacy and works offline. After seeing so many people concerned about data security, we realized there was a need for a solution that keeps your conversations safe. Llamao is designed to empower users with a reliable assistant that’s always there when you need it—no internet required! We believe it can truly enhance productivity while respecting your privacy. And although we built it with productivity in mind while we travel on planes, we soon realized a whole range of use cases, for example we used it as a first-aid assistant when we went for a hike. We can’t wait for you all to try it out! 🦙💚 Please note that this app is very much beta, and although it's running super good on our personal devices, it seems to be crashing for a lo of people, LLM are resource expensive and they might be too much for some phones. We will continue to make improvements to bring offline and private AI to everyone!

I've been waiting for something like this. I don't want the NSA or the Chinese government getting my every query. Easy enough using my macbook but I've lacked the portability of asking stuff on the go which I need quite often. If you've a phone with a good deal of memory to handle running LLMs on it this does the trick quite nicely and gets impressive results. Small models have come a long way in the past 12 months!
