Think of Journal List as the other side of a Todo-List. Instead of constantly looking at things that are not done, you're aware of how far you have come and the one current task at hand.

@kaushik_sathupadi That is an interesting and motivating idea to write the done things, instead of the needed ones. Is Journal List free?

Hey ProductHunt - With a number of high-octane productivity apps out there designed to help you CRUSH your goals, none of them have placed a focus on sustainable progress – until now. Introducing Journal List. Tl;dr: Journal List takes an alternative approach to productivity. With other task managers, you are continually looking at things that are not done. Journal List works the opposite way - you're always looking at how far you have come and the ONE next task. Here's my story - I didn't set out to make this. Last year, after a sad personal event, I lost all of my motivation. My productivity hit an all-time low – I would make grand goals, but then I'd never follow through. I am not sure if I became depressed, but I definitely became a master procrastinator. I needed a system that would help me even when I felt as though I was running straight into a brick wall. A Ryan Holiday book got me into Journaling, and boy was it unreasonably effective. How could the simple act of Journaling make me so productive? How are Journaling and productivity even related? This app is my attempt at providing an answer and a solution. Here's the idea behind Journal List: a) Disregard the complexity that may or may not be ahead. b) Work in the moment on ONE current task, c) Always be aware of how far you have come. Here's an analogy to help you better understand the concept. If you're reading a book, you could approach it in two ways: Method 1) Constantly keep tabs on how many pages you have left. Method 2) Be happy about the pages you have already read and enjoyed reading the current page. You'll finish the book with both mindsets, but the latter is a much more sane way to approach it - Think of that idea and apply it to your entire life - that's Journal List. Product Hunt offer: Register with any email with +ph in it (e.g. username+ph@gmail.com), and I'll upgrade you to the Pro version for free (90 days). If you can't use a +ph email, just drop me a note at support@journallist.app and I'll upgrade you.
