What do you think? …

Sounds like a good idea. If you can integrate it with MailChimp or SendInBlue etc., it will be much more useful for those of us that can’t personally code API stuff. Maybe go through Zapier.com to unlock many at once?

@alextrup absolutely, I think i even put down MailChimp as an example somewhere in the docs. Setting up some Zapier integrations is a killer idea, I’m on it. Thanks for checking it out:)

@alextrup Hey Alex, thanks again for the suggestion. Quick update: I wrote up a post in our docs repo on how to actually set this up with Zapier & Mailchimp. https://identibyte.github.io/exa... The Zap is run every time a subscriber is added, and they're unsubscribed if Identibyte says it's a disposable email address 😃 It requires a paid Zapier account (unfortunately), but I'm going to add a few more posts for other services like SendInBlue while we're working on more direct integrations. Thanks again <3

How does this work? I've tried a disposable email and it said "disposable: no". Do you give the results by domain? I mean if the domain live.com then "disposable: no", if it's disposable1.com then "disposable: yes"?

@ozgrozer Thanks for checking it out! Right, the primary thing Identibyte looks at is the domain to see if it has any matches in a curated list, and similarly with the free provider. So it's not going to pick up "me+trash@gmail" as disposable (though we're working on providing information about those cases in the API too). We're also deploying some techniques for looking at the underlying mail server, and have some things in progress there. While we make the techniques more advanced, there's always a possibility a new provider or domain pops up before it's added to Identibyte list (eg, mailinator has many different domains). For that reason we also want a way to submit emails _to_ Identibyte that should be marked as disposable -- either via the API (POST request) or dashboard form -- so we can review it. As well as having a blacklist on your own account. If you hit one that didn't get you the right result for sure let me know - I'll get it added! <3

Hey all! We created Identibyte because it seems like every time we build a new product, we have to add a little code to make sure we're handling disposable email address accounts. I love disposable emails, and I think it's great people use them to try out a service. We want to help companies (and anyone running a site with a signup form really), manage these better. A lot of times users signing up with disposable emails don't need the time and attention that other users do - they just want to try out the product with little interruption. We encourage that! Identibyte aims to helps the companies manage these accounts better. By pointing out information like this, you can focus your resources on the users who WANT and NEED it - instead of spreading everything evenly. We've implemented this in our products by deleting disposable accounts after a certain time of inactivity. This helps us, and doesn't block people who just want to try out a product! Users who like the product almost always change their email to a real one. I'd love to hear if this is something you would do, as opposed to completely blocking these signups?
