Hide the Google Meet option so it never conflicts with scheduling your meeting as a Zoom call.

Made a very simple browser extension that hides the Google Meet button from your Google Calendar when scheduling meetings. It doesn't remove Google Meet invites from existing calendar events, so no need to worry about missing a meeting! Enjoy!

super surprised that no one had already launched this. Google Meet sucks and the tactics google is using to compete with Zoom are disgusting (e.g. auto adding google meet meeting invites to calendar invites created using Google Calendar)

@_jacksmith this feature has been live since the launch of Meet for G Suite users, is not a new thing. The only change is that Meet is now available for free (and unlimited, by the way) for everyone.

@ruben_navarro_martin sure. it just sucks. google meet also made a massive button to compete w/ Zoom's button

@ruben_navarro_martin @_jacksmith Zoom sucks more. For international people having subtitles on Meet is super helpful! Plus I trust Google with my data more than I do Zoom.
