Hi, I'm Nacho, Lead Open Source Engineer of https://checklyhq.com. My team and I built the Headless Recorder and just released a major update we want to share with the community here. Headless Recorder is an open-source browser extension that helps you create Playwright & Puppeteer scripts without coding. It records clicks and type events and you can add waitForNavigation, setViewPort, and other useful clauses. This is SUPER powerful for creating: 👉 E2E test scripts 👉 Scraping scripts 👉 Synthetic monitoring scripts With Headless Recorder 1.0 we added a bunch of functionalities and gave it a new look and feel. New features include: ☑️ Complete re-design with dark mode and new control panel ☑️ Preview CSS selectors of HTML elements. ☑️ Take full page and element screenshots. ☑️ Run generated scripts directly on Checkly So, why are we building this? My company Checkly and our customers rely on Puppeteer and Playwright for testing and monitoring web applications. We wanted to build a tool that would make it easier for our customers to create meaningful E2E scripts. What started as a small side project became quite popular with more than 13k stars on GitHub.
