Very interesting, @jon_simms! Boring questions - but how have you found building for the Shopify App Store? Did you end up getting delayed by their vetting process?

@nik_hazell Hi Nik! Thanks for your message. Shopify have high demands which when applying, requires some to and fro, but this just helps you become better prepared. They respond very quickly and it took around 2-3 weeks from first application - revisions - to completion. Whilst it created a delay, you know you have created a strong product when you are accepted by Shopify as they really do test your product and set up! What are you building? Have you started the process yet?

@jon_simms Thanks very much for this - very useful to hear about your experience. So I've built the product (which is the first freemium offering from my company - a very sales-led/enterprise focussed market research company). We reckon it might take 2 weeks to shift it into a "Shopify Custom App", which I might be able to use to test product market fit. The "Shopify Public App" is the real goal, but sounds much harder. Broadly speaking, the aim is to help larger Shopify sellers optimise their "e-shelf", and smaller sellers improve their marketing :)

@adityavsc Hey Aditya, thanks for your message. The initial product was initially designed for woocommerce but we decided to change direction and focus on Shopify. Therefore, its a completely new product and this is technically our first launch :)
