So, this is scary... 2 years ago I started working on GlanceCam 3 and to be finally ready to launch is amazing, bur also a bit terrifying! GlanceCam 3 adds lots of features and improvements to my IP camera viewer, which is well liked in its small niche, with over 210 App Store ratings with an average of 4.1 stars. My focus for this big update was on improving the first experience and configuration process, which inevitably is a bit technical because every camera manufacturer does things in their special way, while adding advanced features Users have been asking for. I am introducing GlanceCam Pro, a new optional tier offered either as life-time in-app purchase at $ 22.99 or as a subscription at $ 8.99 per year; both methods are available since some Users prefer one option over the other, but they all unlock the same feature set: - Multi-windows support, Users' most request feature: open as many cameras as you need, resize and arrange them independently on your screen and keep them between launches of the app; - An optional Minimalistic user interface that hides everything but your camera when you are not interacting with the app; - Custom aspect-ratios; - Priority human support via email in less than 24 hours, Monday through Friday; - 14 funny icons. The regular version also improves significantly in version 3.0: - A new Preferences window makes the configuration easier; - Help and tooltips everywhere; - New Frequently Asked Questions (https://cdf1982.com/glancecam/faqs) help Users getting started, even if they never configured an IP camera before; - Auto-detect aspect-ratios; - Insta-zoom and resizing are faster and more reliable; - New app icon. For the last 3 years, GlanceCam has been my passion and a good reason to wake up at 4 a.m. (almost) every day, in order to squeeze in some work before going to the office, as I have a day job in a different field (purchasing manager 💤). I understand this will never be a huge commercial success, but I wanted to build a good Mac app, something a User can confidently put their cameras in without worries about security, and without dealing with 5 different clunky web apps if they own 5 different brands of cameras.
