My co-founder and I embarked on the journey of creating Genie, a gen AI data analyst, driven by our own struggle working with data. In our previous roles as a data analysts/data scientists, we often found ourself overwhelmed with requests from colleagues who were not technical but needed data request ASAP. They constantly relied on us to extract insights from data, and personally I could see the frustration in their messages on Slack as they had to wait long response times ( sometimes even a week!) . We knew there had to be a better way – a way to provide efficiency and empower my non-tech colleagues to access and decipher data on their own. Genie was born from this need, and its mission is to grant data autonomy to all, ensuring that every team member can unveil the hidden truths of their internal data effortlessly. With Genie, we are on a mission to help anyone collaborative and intuitively move towards a more data-informed and efficient future to make data conversational.
