This app serves it’s purpose to help you look out for certain types of food you wish to avoid. Quick and simple user interface by just selecting the language, take a picture of the food label and wait for the results.

What do you think? …

Muhammad Nur Hazrul
Hi everyone. My name is Hazrul and I’m the founder for this app (Food Avoidance Scanner). I got the idea when I was on holiday with my family in Switzerland (really loved the place). I was looking to purchase dinner at the supermarket and realized that the ingredients label were none English. I decided to utilized Google’s translate app to translate the ingredients. That’s when I realized that why is there no app for this. Since this is my first app deployed to the market, I would not expect it to be perfect. I am always looking for ways to improve it by gathering constructive criticism. Hope you guys can give it a try and see if you liked it. You can always contract me via email foodavoidancescanner@gmail.com. Hopefully you guys will like it.

@muhammad_nur_hazrul Such a nice app. I was even thinking to create something similar. Maybe if you can also add a section to add items to avoid. Such as certain people some religious people can’t eat or sometimes the color or some other ingredients are not suitable to consume.

@faisal_mukhtar Thanks Faisal 🤙. Yeah the items selected in the app are in general meaning, an example if I select dairy, the app will look out for any items related to dairy be it milk or cheese. Hope I answered your question.

Looks quite promising. Congrats on the launch Muhammad. How do you differ from competitors, what are your key advantages?
Muhammad Nur Hazrul
@orchyan Thanks Garen 🤙. Good question. There wasn’t much research done during that period to know who my competitors are. I simply have this huge drive or motivation to make the app after facing an issue. I like to use that drive to build the app and less time over analysing. But I did had a glance over the app store once and found different flavours of the app but can’t confirm an exact replica. Hope that answers your question.
