hey everyone, my name is mike, and i'm the founder of ensemble. after getting bored of the spotify algorithm and wanting to expand my music taste, i tried using social media for music. it sucked. here's why: 1. social music gets really boring, really quickly. you can only sit through so many feeds of music before you go back to what you know and love, especially when an algorithm can suggest stuff you'll love with near certainty. 2. music sharing sucks without context. with everybody just throwing out their favourite music, there's no guarantee that you'll enjoy it. so why even bother in the first place? 3. lack of rewards. we love the feeling of sharing music that others love. a simple "like" feature doesn't capture that emotion. so what makes ensemble any different? let me break it down for you: ☝️ everybody shares one song, each day. there's no endless feeds of music and the ability to burn yourself out in a week. 🧭 expand your music taste. discover new music directly from friends or filter by genres to see the top 10 hottest songs on ensemble. 🎨 share a song based on a daily prompt. narrow down your library and make it easy to share a song that follows a theme. 🔥 fire your favourite song of the day. that's right - no unlimited likes. you get one fire, every day. this lets a friend know they had a great curation. 🔁 bring the music to your music streaming platform. with integrations to spotify and apple music, open songs or download batches of songs as a playlist for your library. ensemble is a simple app that is currently on ios, with plans for an android release soon. let me know what you think and thanks for checking us out!
