Don't mean to get emotional here guys, but Elon Musk is a great inspiration to me, and I'm sure he is to a lot of other people here too. I can vouch for this book, I read 9 chapters yesterday.
Spoiler alert:
Here are some things I thought were pretty interesting in the book so far:
- Elon really likes to say the word "Fuck".
- Elon says his family worries that Russians might try to assassinate him for building such competitive rockets
- Elon is a self-taught programmer
- Elon has both twins and triplets
I made a list of all the things I find notable about the book here: http://www.topchart.io/lists/elo...
Absolutely agree with @kurtybot. I pre-ordered this a little while back and devoured the first 150 pages last night. Here's the most random and surprising factoid I've learned so far:
I knew he'd contracted malaria while on vacation in the early 2000s. But I DIDN'T know that he'd been misdiagnosed two times and was literally one day away from being too sick to recover.
(A random visting doctor with more experience dealing with the specific type of malaria glanced at his charts and ordered immediate medication. Saying that if he had shown up the next day it would have been too late).
