Instant bug replays for product teams ad customer support teams. Dummi halves the time the time your team spends dealing with bugs by providing complete context in one click.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
I'm excited to share Dummi for Customer Support, a super simple tool that lets your users report issues with instant issue replays and screen recordings, no downloads or logins required.
We built Dummi to solve a problem we kept running into: vague support tickets. With Dummi, your users can show you exactly what went wrong, so your team can understand and resolve issues faster.
- No back and forth with users required
- Resolve bugs and issues 10x faster
- Integrations with Intercom, Slack, Jira, Asana, Linear and more
- lightweight, privacy-fist
- Make your customer and support team happier
Here's what it does:
1. Your user finds an issue with your software
2. They click the Dummi button and a replay of their issue comes up
3. They review the video and add any context that is missing before sending it to your team
4. Your support team quickly reviews and issue and sends the report to your developers.
5. Your devs get all the technical info they need alongside the video of what went wrong so the issue is fixed fast.
Would love your thoughts and feedback! You can check it out here: dummi.com/cs
@julia_zakharova2 thank you Julia! Unfortunately we don’t support mobile apps just yet. You can create as many workspaces as you would like and use our Chrome extension on a free plan :)
Usually plugging in the Dummi button on your website is $49 but we are running a 3 month free trial for new users today!
The instant reporting feature could revolutionize bug tracking! Does captured technical data include console logs/network requests, or is it limited to screen recordings? And any plan to support mobile app?
The technical data includes console logs and network requests. So you basically will get a video of what went wrong, network and console logs, reproduction steps and session info (what browser they were using, etc). We would consider supporting mobile apps if there was demand for it :)
That's an amazing tool @giulia_dressler1. Congratulations on the launch and I look forward to give it a try.
Btw, I was just wondering how does it replay the issue that has already occured? Is it recording the screen at the background?
@agzee thank you so much! let us know how you find using it :)
It keeps a recording of what the user was doing for the last two minutes on their own browser, so it doesn't go anywhere, until they decide they want to report it.
@giulia_dressler1 Great idea! I have a few questions. How does this play into GDPR requirements? How large can the total recordings stored in the browser get?
We currently use Clarity to look at user sessions, to try and see what actually happened. However, Clarity doesn't record anything, it recreates a "simulation" of the user sessions. But something like your tool would make it so much easier for us to debug website issues.
@npsquared Hey Nitin, great question! Dummi is fully GDPR compliant, meeting all necessary data protection requirements and we can get a DPA signed as well if required. The recordings are never longer than 2 minutes and they have no impact on performance.
Totally feel your pain about Clarity! We had the same issue when we were using Clarity, so Dummi is a big life saver :)
Dummi is an amazing tool to help with finding bugs 🐛 In our company, we've used it directly with our clients for one-click-bug-reports and our team utilises it internally for testing our new features. It's very easy to use and saves you a lot of time!

@giulia_dressler1 Hi, congrats on the launch on PH!
And how do you report on mobile devices? On the free plan, how many projects can you attach Dummi to?
