Thanks all for the warm welcome :) My name is Harrison, I'm also a co-founder of Driveway. We love the questions and feedback you all are sharing - please keep them coming. Here are some of my favorite examples of Driveway use-cases from real customers - if any others come to mind, feel free to share below. 📧 transitioning CRMs from Airtable to Hubspot 🚶 walking through complex Salesforce processes 🚀 creating product documentation for new feature launches 👾 educating community managers on Discord best practices 🎓 showing fellow university teachers tips & tricks for Canvas LMS 👵 teaching their grandma how to use WordPress (!)

@harrisonjohnson Congrats on going live on Product Hunt! Now I totally get Driveway's job to be done after this super awesome concise video and, I must say as the early adopter I am, it makes me want to find a good excuse to use it to drop store tutorials on my Notion lol

👋 Hey Product Hunt community! I’m Chris, Co-Founder of Driveway. We built Driveway to be the easiest way for teams to create, edit, and share interactive how-to guides for all of their tools and workflows. But like many other makers, founders, and entrepreneurs, our journey has had plenty of twists and turns to get to this point. To start at the very beginning—my Co-Founder @harrisonjohnson is my best friend. We grew up together, went to school, and even worked together for years before starting Driveway. Our first venture was a Led Zeppelin cover band in middle school. 🤘 We were laid off from our previous jobs at the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020, and after that we decided to take the plunge and try building a business together. The problem We had seen first-hand how hard it was for our own teams to ramp up on new processes and tools. After speaking with dozens of Sales, Support, and Ops teams, we realized that this problem was only getting worse in the remote and hybrid future of work. Teams today are dealing with more processes and complex software tools than ever. And it’s not just new hires and their managers that are feeling the pain. For fast-growing teams, processes and systems are constantly changing—impacting everyone. After a ton of experiments (the very first iteration of Driveway was “librarians for your startup”), we found that: ⏰ Documenting workflows and tools is too time-consuming and gets quickly outdated. 🧠 Learning from documentation and even video alone often falls short. 🤔 Understanding how teams use tools is challenging, and there’s little visibility into who knows what. The solution Driveway saves time and makes it easy to create impactful software training for your team by bringing the whole process into the flow of work. ⚡️ Capture workflows and create step-by-step guides in seconds 🤝 Edit and export your guides to tools like Notion, Google Docs, and more 👾 Share interactive versions of your guides automatically We owe a massive thanks to our 140 beta users and all our friends for supporting us, taking Driveway for a test drive, and giving us feedback along the way. Over the past six months, we’ve seen our users create nearly 200 guides across a ton of different use cases. ✨ Onboarding new hires 🎉 Rolling out new processes and tools 👍 Up-skilling their workforce instead of conducting layoffs Today, we’re excited and grateful to share Driveway with this community and can’t wait to hear what you think. Harrison, the rest of the Driveway team, and I will be hanging out in the comments and answering all your questions for the next 24 hours. Feel free to ask us about our product, our processes as a remote team working asynchronously, or anything else! Thanks for reading and checking out Driveway. 🏁

I love the idea, and nice explainer video. I won't forget that you are called driveway! Just three questions: How do you compare to similar tools like howflow, dubble tango or scribe? Do you have some sample driveway-created how-to guides? The free plan is 10 guides per month, or 10 guides in total? (and no watermarks I suppose?)

@torsten_p Thanks for checking out Driveway and for the questions! 🎉 We think that everyone likes to learn in different ways. For some people and processes, a screenshot guide just don't do the trick. Driveway makes it possible to turn those screenshots into interactive guides that overlay each step of a process right where work happens. This way, teams can easily learn their tools and workflows by doing. Here's a public guide about how to sign up and support products on product hunt! https://on.driveway.app/guides/O... And lastly, Driveway's free plan includes 10 total guides per workspace. Thanks again and let us know if you have any more questions or feedback! we really appreciate it. 🙏

@chrisschilling Thanks a lot for the super quick reply. I clearly see this walk through feature nobody has, as far as I know. About the free plan, no watermarks? And what if I have created 10 guides and delete five. Can I create another five? PS: Thanks for the link to the public guide, that helps understanding what outcome you get.

@torsten_p of course! We really appreciate the questions and feedback 🙌 No watermarks on any guides and you can even add a custom logo to your workspace give it your own branding. As far as the guide limit for the free plan—that's correct, up to 10 guides at any point! Please keep us posted with any other questions and thanks again! 🙏
