Drigmo is a social app built around your restaurant list. You can organise your places on a map and bring your list to life by adding notes, pictures, and videos. As you grow your list friends can see your activity and save discoveries from you.
Hey Hunters,
It's crazy to finally launch a product here again after we launched our first product - called Pie - all the way back in 2014! Shoutout to the OG hunters that remember that 😅
Today we’re excited to launch Drigmo, a social app designed around your restaurant list.
👉 Why restaurant lists?
Because almost everyone has one. In a spreadsheet, notes, or a public doc. Lists are often collaborative and can get shared widely by friends and coworkers.
The personal and social aspect of list keeping makes people add mostly the places they love and recommend. We thought if restaurant lists are social, expressive, and positive, why not build an app around them?
👉 How does it work?
You can add places you want to remember to your ‘to-try’, ‘been to’, or ‘favourite’ list. You can see your places on a map and further organise them with customizable tags and notes.
As you grow your list your friends can see your activity and - like re-pinning on Pinterest - you can save discoveries from each other. To bring your list to life you can add memories to places with pictures and videos.
👉 Why be stupid enough to build a social app around food?
Because food excites, surprises, delights, and connects us. It’s the opposite of boring. But when it comes to restaurants & apps it feels like we’ve been stuck in a vacuum of boringness since Foursquare launched almost 15 years ago.
We started Drigmo to stir up the space. Our mission is to help people play with their food together with friends.
We hope you like the app so far and look forward to your feedback and questions! 😌

Some things to ask us 👀
🍕 What is it like to build a new consumer social app?
🍣 Why did you ditch the concept of ‘followers’?
🥐 Can we come visit your office in Singapore?
🍔 Why don’t you have restaurant ratings?
🥑 How did you infuse the app with AI?
🌮 How are you doing?
🍒 Wen Android?
@appxcite desktop not yet, first up will definitely be Android as we've had so many requests for that and the guilt has been building up for too long haha 😅
Our Twitter handle is @drigmo thanks for the kind shoutout!! 🙏
Finally a real social app :)
Respect for your inspiring choices 1) that you make it for friends and not for influencers by dropping the following, and 2) that you protect the livelihood of restaurants professionals by dropping the ratings. Riskier moves from a financial perspective I guess (given what investors and people are used to in terms of social app), what do you have in mind in terms of business model (if it's not confidential to share)?
Congrats!
@julienergan thank you for your kind words - 'a real social app' that's the greatest compliment we can get - means a lot!!
Some of the choices might seem a bit counterintuitive in terms of engagement, e.g. with no followers some people might not know what they should 'game'. We're still figuring out how to circumvent and navigate a world where we don't lean on these type of strong Web2.0 conventions.
In terms of business model there's a direct subscription trend that's picking up. That would be ideal as we wouldn't have to charge restaurants that already have dismal margins of around.... 0% - 5%! 😅
Another way would be to offer an API for places. There's a lot of apps that need rich places data and media:
- Social apps: Snap still uses stale Tripadvisor data/reviews
- Map apps: Apple Maps still uses Tripadvisor data/reviews
- Food delivery apps: if we can increase the conversion rate or basket size with our data, that's a win-win
- Some more: credit card apps, payment apps, travel apps, car operating systems.
Thanks again for chiming in! 🙏🍳
@nicholas_ng3 Merciiii, your feedback makes us all feel proud and humbled 😁
What you said about 'record findings' is spot in; it's one of the main reasons we've built Drigmo. There's so many amazing places I don't want to miss out on AND there's so many amazing memories I have at places that I want my friends to also experience.
Anyway, thanks again for trying out the app and let us know if there's anything we can improve or build for you to make it even better.
We're pretty responsive in our little hidden Drigmo Community and love to brainstorm together with other Drigsters! (check Settings 👀 🐝)
@nicholas_ng3 !!! I just realised it was you! Awkward haha 🙈 Anyway, appreciate your patience as we've been building and carefully plotting the future together.
And as usual: DM me anytime with ideas, feedback, annoyances, or... for restaurant recommendations 😛
