🥳 My first time on Product Hunt ! I built DrawRun live during my first ever Twitch stream in 14 hours during #24hrstartup this weekend! 🧐 The idea Ever since I stopped using my Apple Watch I've wanted to get an estimate of how long my runs were without using a GPS tracker. So... I thought I'd build a small app just for this specific purpose. 🗺 What can I use it for? It's also useful if you want to plan your run before you go out. You can quickly find new routes that are exactly the right length. Depending on your locale, the app will use miles or kilometers to place markers for easy viewing. 🤓 Animations My focus with this product was to keep the app simple and clean design wise. I also took a few hours to build in some meaningful animations that make the app stand out bit more and that guide the users' attention. @anthilemoon It might actually be a small enough project to learn Android development with.. Would be a nice theme for another #24hrstartup weekend, where everyone tries out a new technology (stimulates people helping each other out and definitely stimulates people to keep their ideas simple 🙂 )

I loved getting to see some of the progress for this app as @jordibruin streamed its development on Twitch, and then to beta test it essentially the same day. DrawRun looks great (I love the icon!), is easy to use, and has a lot of potential for new features. (And watching Jordi take this app through the process of releasing a product in a short time inspired me to build my own app the next day!)

@jordibruin I wish there was a way to do this for cycling. Imagine drawing a route on the map and the app helping you navigate that route. I have always wanted to cycle around the routes and make characters out of it on Strava. Something like this: https://www.welovecycling.com/wi...
