🤔 What is Dinnerfy? Dinnerfy is a simple app that creates weekly dinner menus and orders groceries for you. With just a few simple swipes and a click, you can plan your week and order groceries on Instacart. It personalizes suggestions based on your preferences and generates new recipes with AI. 😖 Why does it exist? When we looked into the different meal planning apps currently available, we weren't satisfied. None of the apps provided a direct answer to "What's for dinner?" as they required users to be habitual users to work effectively. @amanintech Interesting. How does it work for new users and what is the NPS of this product if you started tracking it already?

@udaii We are hearing good things from the onboarding and new users. Are NPS has been above 7 for 50 random users. The fun fact is that most of users came through user referral itself which is a good sign. But I think we will start collecting NPS more explicitly.

@amanintech very cool! Nice to have an intermediary between meal prep services and doing it all yourself. Curious how you determine if the recipes are good? or where you find those?

@dzaitzow thanks you so much for your comment. The recipe are all generated by community. You can use the recipe box feature to add any recipes of your liking with just simple recipe title or include ingredients + Instructions or add any web URL. Then our RecipeGPT generates a fully structured recipe including descriptions, instructions and real images that could be used throughout the app, added for everyone in the app and could even be shared with others. Currently we have 374 recipe all generated by users + AI.

@dzaitzow generally recipe are not copyrighted content unless it explicitly mentioned. We do however mention the credits of the creators of the recipe. It’s also the equivalent of asking ChatGPT for a recipe.

@amanintech Gotcha - I always wonder how I can trust GPT with things like recipes (when I'd like to have them human tested haha) Makes a lot of sense tho!

@dzaitzow it was a trouble for us as well but we built an internal pipeline to reduce hallucination and ground GPT

Congratulations on the launch 🎉 and how does the AI learning work, especially when it comes to understanding what users like? For instance, if I'm really into Chinese cuisine, will it get that? 🍜👀

@hacksman Thanks for the upvote. During the onboarding, you can choose as many different cuisines you like. This gives a first level filter to the AI. Then you can swipe left and right to train the AI. Over time this process will make the recommendations better. Dinnerfy also has a GenAI recipe generator in which you can add recipe of you desire and it will create it like a magic. Please give it a try !
