The pandemic has completely changed how we work. Just a couple of years ago, “going to work” has a very literal meaning, that is, most of us actually physically go to a place to work every day. That was the “normal” back then. But now going to work could mean a few steps to the home office, or the dining room, or the backyard, or, sometimes, the offices where we used to go every day. A lot of the companies and organizations realized that most of the time the office spaces are at least half empty. So most of them downsized office spaces. But the number of employees is more or less the same. The obvious problem is, how can you be sure there is a desk available before you make a trip to the office? There are lots of facility management software but they are complicated and expensive. All you really need is a simple application that can let managers or space owner to set the capacity of desks, and let users book their desks BEFORE they make the trip to the office, so they don’t waste time commuting to the office just to learn there are no desks to work on. That's how desko.io was created. It is very simple and all it does is to let people book a desk at a space that this set up by the manager or space owner, based on predefined capacity. Nothing more and simplicity is king!
