A lot of people live in apartments with a shared laundry room, with a frustrating booking system, that requires you to physically go to the laundry room to book washing machines. CondoButlr is an online booking system. Booking done in 30s from anywhere.

Hi πŸ‘‹ My name is Frank, and I'm the creator of CondoButlr. 5 years ago I had enough of going down 3 floors to book our washing machines in our shared launry room in the apartment building I lived in. So I created CondoButlr, so that my neighbours and I, could book the washing machines from anywhere, the couch, in the bus, at school, at work, anywhere. We would not have to go down to the laundry room in vain, when there were now more available times, and had to come back another day. Since then, I have created amenity booking as well. A centralized calendar where you can easily book your common areas, that you share like the laundry room. I hope you will check it out, and if you know of any who with a similar old physical booking system, I wuld be very grateful if you would share it with them! Have a great day β˜€οΈ Sincerely, Frank

@frank_hald2 Cool idea! It's great that you didn't just stop at washing machines and thought about other common areas! The main thing is to involve everyone involved in the process so that there are no overlaps. Good luck!

@maria_anosova Thank you πŸ™Œ I'm trying to remove all the paper, manual and physical process' in shared communities, especially for apartment communities. Do you have any other suggestions, where I could help?
Julien Ergan
This is pretty cool. Congrats for the launch! I assume a lot of students would be interested in using your product. Are you thinking several pricing options, including a student's pricing?
Frank Hald
@julienergan Thank you very much! Good point, the idea is that the building managers are to be billed, so that the users/tenants aren't the onse who are billed. The pricing is for the whole building, and not per user. But it could be an idea to have a student pricing, for dormitories being run by students.

@frank_hald2 ha got you now about the business model. Great this way. I remember first couple of years of Uni were super intense. For the little spare time, it sucks to lose it for the whole laundry process instead of doing sport or something else. I’d be surprised if your product is not adopted in areas near campuses.
Frank Hald
@julienergan Totally agree, and I share the same experience -- as a young student, you want to waste anymore time than you have to on chores!

Awesome idea to a real life problem, the challenge here I suppose is to convince all neighbours?
Frank Hald
@maria_freitas Thank you Maria! Yes, our users are the neighbours, but our audience in terms of who we are to make a deal with, are the housing administration or building managers. So the building administration pays the small monthly fee of $15, which includes the whole building, so none of the tenants/residents ever gets a bill. But still, everyone still needs to create an account to book the laundry room, but usually they just remove their old booking booking and send a message to all the tenants, that they now have to use this website. Which have worked really well so far.

@frank_hald2 Sounds perfect then and it’s a great solution to go through building administration directly
