📌
Hey, Product Hunters! My friend and I just released our first app this week. We're two recent university graduates who are interested in building apps that solve problems we face ourselves. In this case, we lacked a streamlined way of doing simple stretching or bodyweight exercise routines. Before Circuits°, we had a few options: 1. Follow a YouTube video. - Unless you have YouTube premium, many of these videos are chock-full of ads. It seems their frequency is still on the rise. - YouTube isn't designed specifically for doing these routines. There's no built-in way to skip forward and backward by exercise. There's no way to restart the current exercise. - Rigidity, and no progression. The video format is inherently inflexible, so if you want to adjust the length of a round (it's too easy or too hard) or a rest, you have to manage this manually. Not to mention, there's no offline support. 2. Use an app. While this addresses many of the issues with a YouTube video, using the available options on the App store came with its own pain points. All the options we tried suffered from some of the following problems: - Ads. In one instance a very popular app played a full-screen, unskippable 5 second ad on most simple user interactions. - Price. Many of the options, which appear very enticing, can't even be used at all without pay. - Insufficient customizability or poor user experience. Some of these apps, for example, will simply repeat singular sets -- this isn't nearly enough for a full routine! So, we built our own. Circuits° is: - Completely ad-free. - Free up to three routines. - Highly customizable. You can create sophisticated routines with ease, thanks to loops and rounds. Try Circuits° on the App Store today at https://apps.apple.com/ca/app/ci...! We eagerly await your feedback and suggestions!

@dfeles Thank you for the kind words! Certainly not a use case I thought of myself, ha. We were actually having trouble deciding how many free custom routines were appropriate for the free-tier. Too few, and we come off as stingy! Maybe to the point that people will abandon the app before any attachment to it. Too many, and there'll be very little reason (aside from supporting the devs) for the user to pay.

💡 Bright idea
Congratulations on the launch of Circuits°! Its ad-free and offline functionality are huge wins for uninterrupted workouts. A suggestion might be to include customizable themes or sound packs for a personal touch.

@daxeelsoni Thank you for the kind words Daxeel! Your suggestions are good, and our thinking actually aligns. We wanted to release a version and then include features like theme / sound customization in future iterations.
