Charge Running

I’m Matthew Knippen, a 10 year iOS dev turned CEO for Charge Running. I built a mobile app with my co-founders @julie_wallock & @rorygraman that allows you to run with others from all over the world in real-time, all while being trained by a certified run coach. Think of us as Peloton for running, but way more social. I’m a career mobile dev that always liked hacking on things, and worked on over 60 applications ranging from photos, games, and fitness. Over the years, when I come across a problem in my life, I write code to solve it. I built a garage door opener app before it was cool, an electronic Go board, and an app to track different whiskeys I’ve tasted like “Untappd for Spirits.” Charge was born out of a much bigger personal problem: I couldn't stand running alone. Charge Running is designed for any runner, regardless of skill level to have more fun during their everyday run by providing a killer playlist, a live coach, and a community of other like minded runners to keep you motivated through your entire workout. I started using Charge Running at the beginning of the first lockdown in Switzerland in early 2020. The coached live sessions truly helped me improve my running pace and form and I just love the community aspect of it. To me it actually felt like a fully developed and established product – only realizing now that you guys are still at the beginning of your journey! Anyways... long story short: I LOVE charge running, it's one of only a few apps that actually provide real-life value for me. 😊 Rooting for your team! Ps.
