Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I'm excited to unveil version 2.0 of charades.ai 🎭 When I initially launched it last year, the gameplay was completely different: It was heavily inspired by Wordle, and the prompts used to generate images for the game were all 5-letter words. Oftentimes, it could feel more like playing Wordle than charades, especially when the AI-generated images weren't particularly related tot he prompt. After getting valuable feedback from players, I completely redid the gameplay mechanics to feel more like charades. Instead of being limited to 5-letter words, now, short phrases are used as prompts for generating the images, and your answers are scored based on semantic similarity to the prompts instead of getting all the letters correct! This update is made possible by a lot of cool technologies, including GPT-4 for generating the answers, Dall-E 2 for generating the images, and Transformers.js for generating text embeddings in the browser 🙏 You can try it out here, and let me know if you have any feedback or suggestions: https://charades.ai
