Hey there! I'm Pascal, an experienced Engineering Leader passionate about building products, teams, and organizations based in NYC. I've spent the past 20 years in various roles in the corporate world, working on a wide range of technical areas, from quickly prototyping new ideas as an Innovation Engineer to eventually leading the Site Reliability Engineering department of a publicly listed company. I strongly believe in diversity, equity, and inclusion, and love creating a sense of belonging in the teams I lead. My solopreneur / indie journey started early this year after my previous role got affected by a round of layoffs. When not working, I love spending time with my family, exploring the city, being outdoors, and playing video games. Previously I've been a photography enthusiast, and I even published a book on high-speed photography. I've realized that it's becoming increasingly difficult for people to build and maintain meaningful relationships in today's fast-paced world. As a working parent and introvert, I know firsthand how challenging it can be to find the time and courage to connect with others. That's why I decided to create CafeSocial.io, a place that aims to make it easier for people to form deep connections by providing the tools and communities they need. The first product, CafeSocial.io Mixer (Product Hunt Launch coming soon!), is designed to bring like-minded individuals together for meaningful one-on-one conversations based on shared interests. These virtual events make it easy to have one-on-one conversations in a cozy, intimate setting without the pressure and time constraints of traditional social gatherings. I'm excited about the potential of CafeSocial.io Mixer to bring people together and help them build lasting relationships. For me, CafeSocial.io is more than just a product (and I have plenty more product ideas); it's a way to create a more connected and supportive world. My vision is to help people overcome loneliness and build strong, meaningful relationships. I'm committed to continuously improving and adapting CafeSocial.io based on your feedback, so we can all enjoy a world with deeper connections and less isolation. I can't wait to see where this journey takes us! Over the coming weeks, I plan to host Mixers for Digital Nomads, Entrepreneurs, Expats, AI Enthusiasts, Working Parents, People affected by layoffs, and weekly Happy Hours. Congratulations on the launch! I truly believe that @mrbopa vision behind CafeSocial is great and deep as his product helps fight a universal problem of humanity - loneliness. This app has the potential to be on the crossover of social media and mental health domains, I think people really need this kind of product. Keep it up!
