Hi Hunters 👋! We’re really proud to be announcing Blotout EdgeTag. I’m Blotout’s Principal Client Architect and the lead on EdgeTag, an app that lets you use the Facebook Conversion API without needing to write code. It increases your leads, never gets blocked, and only sends data that has consent. Without EdgeTag, if you’re an advertiser and want to send data to Facebook to improve ad targeting, you have two choices: use a Facebook script or write code to use their Conversion API. If you use their scripts, you risk getting blocked by ad blockers or accidentally sending data that isn’t consented. But writing server-side code to use the Conversion API is expensive and more work than most advertisers can handle. Our solution -- Blotout EdgeTag -- takes care of that for you by executing code in CDN edge workers that sends consented data to Facebook using the Conversion API. With the death of cross-domain cookies and 3p cookies, it just makes sense to build an API network directly at the network edge. Ensure you have consent, manage your shared SaaS IDs yourself in your domain, and enable a clear opt in/out. We are only get started but the tag will expand to enable 1P ID resolution in our customers warehouses longer term with consent and purpose limitations built-in. Our goal eventually is to expand to a developer network that can use the cross CDN tag to enable an API framework for all SaaS and the tag ensures Consent and ID graph is managed for you. Baby steps - starting with a clear problem; consented FB pixel -- we are the first script that is opt-in by default (as in the site has to signal consent before a call is made) and build for privacy respecting enterprises.
