Okay, it was bugging me, so I checked. If whatever is uploaded is encrypted, it is not done client-side, so it is as good as no encryption. Oh well, I can't say I'm suprised. Proof: They are using https://wasabi.com/ as a file provider, and files are downloaded directly from bestfile.s3.eu-central-1.wasabisys.com/anonymous/... so, we can conclude there is no encryption other that the default Wasabi one (https://wasabi-support.zendesk.c...-) Files are not deleted after the timeout has passed. Through the direct wasabi link, I can still download the file after it has been deleted (404 on the sharing link). Although once that link has expired (3600s or 1hr), there is no way to retrieve the file, but also no way to check if it has been deleted.

@aguilaair_tech We'll share a new post explaining how we protect your files if you're concerned!

@aguilaair_tech And about this "Files are not deleted after the timeout has passed. ......" You are just lying. I think you are criticizing everything that has to do with the files :) Find another startup to critique, We want constructive criticism to develop our services, not for people who attack us for no apparent reason. Thanks!

@best_file_io I was not lying... I was just simply stating what I have noticed... Follow these instructions: Upload a file with a 5-minute timeout Download the file Wait 5-50 minutes Copy the download link from the browser (should be https://bestfile.s3.eu-central-1......) Put it on the browser, click enter, file downloads The reason is you state you are private/encrypted, as soon as you make any claim like that you must be able to withstand any and all tests I throw at you... If it were just free, unlimited file sharing then I would likely not have come down on you so hard, but the second you say encrypted I feel like the scrutiny is warranted.
