Congratulations on the launch of Bequeath.app, Edouard! The focus on Digital Legacy Management is incredibly relevant in today's digital age. I appreciate the clear emphasis on ensuring our digital legacies are well-managed and secure. One suggestion would be to consider adding customizable notifications for important legacy updates. This could enhance user experience by keeping them informed and engaged. Looking forward to seeing how Bequeath.app evolves! Best of luck!

Congrats on the launch, Edouard! Bequeath.app's focus on Digital Legacy Management is both timely and essential. The MVP looks promising, especially the streamlined interface for managing digital assets. I can see this becoming a go-to tool for many. One suggestion: consider adding a feature for customizable legacy plans. It would add a personal touch and meet diverse user needs. Keep up the great work!

Edouard, Bequeath.app's focus on Digital Legacy Management is truly forward-thinking! It's impressive that you're addressing such a crucial need. One feature that stands out to me is the streamlined interface for organizing digital assets—this could be a game-changer for users looking to manage their online presence posthumously. As you're still in the MVP stage, I suggest adding customizable templates for different types of digital legacies. Excited to see how this evolves. Keep up the great work!

@kjosephabraham For the future of this project, we can upload any file we want. Moreover, we can choose between several healthcheck types. For instance, only email and webhook are working but SMS will be also available. We plan to make tutorials to help people understand the usage of webhook, and we also plan to integrate 2FA.

@dimoire Couldn't agree more..making somebody pay a subscription on their eventual death is not marketable.

@dimoire Hello ^^, We've evaluated this possibility, but it's an important subject and requires a high degree of stability, safety and durability. In the past, other software was sold with a license and could be used for life. However, in addition to the risk of closure because there aren't enough new registrations, the platform needs to be maintained in terms of functionality and security. Users will have paid for nothing if we close down, and we have a duty to provide a quality service that lasts. So lifetime subscriptions are not on the agenda at the moment. The current democratic price is less than 1.5$ per month. Have a nice day,

Hi Edouard, This is such a thoughtful concept. How does Bequeath ensure the security and privacy of the digital elements stored on the platform? I'd love to hear more about the technology behind it. Congrats on the launch!

@kyrylosilin Very good question! When an account is created, an encryption key is generated for each user. This key is then encrypted with our own key at application level. This means that if someone manages to export the database, its contents will not be readable (i.e. if we have Broken Access Control or Insecure direct object references, the messages will not be visible). Each object has a uuid that is difficult to guess. We have a security roadmap, and we'll be announcing each feature on our Linkedin page. We have taken all technical and organizational measures to ensure that your messages will not be read by third parties. For example, two people have access to the private git repository and are responsible for controlling merge requests to the main branch, while a pipeline manages production deployment.
