Hey folks! While I had some time off between jobs, I wanted to explore AI a bit, so I built BackstoryAI – a website that lets you create characters and stories about them using generative AI. It's free to try – here's how to get started: 1️⃣ Go to the website and click Login on the top right. You can login with your Google or Facebook account, or you can just register an account with your email address. 2️⃣ Create a persona. You can either have it surprise you with a random character or you can give it some input like your character's name, occupation, or personality traits. Then, BackstoryAI will generate a biography and photo of your character. 3️⃣ Add a story about your new character. There's a big Create Story button right under your character's biography. If you're not sure what to make a story about, you can use the 🔀 shuffle button to get some fun AI-generated ideas. 4️⃣ Share your favorite stories in the thread here. There's a Share button under each story, so you can get a link and share it here and with your friends too.
