Hi hunters 👋, I'm Vinh, the creator of Assignee. Assignee is my first try with macOS development. It was fun experience, and I added new skills to my toolbelts.
I find myself constantly having to switch to different apps on my workflow, and it is a pain to keep pressing Command-Tab to browse through apps to switch to them—Spotlight will help with the repetition of typing the app name.
I used to play real-time strategy games, Starcraft, Age of Empire, you name it. There was a nice feature in these games which allows you to assign units a number, then select them instantly. What if I could bring them to apps, I thought. It was the original idea of Assignee and I wanted it to be as simple as possible. Hola, it lives now. 🎉
