Last year, right here on Product Hunt, we launched AI Query 1.0, a new set of SQL query generation capabilities that would allow anyone to generate a SQL query as powerful as an expert. We simplified and introduced a customer-friendly pricing model. Even though AI Query 1.0 brought developers’ workflows closer together, we found we couldn’t fully realize our vision of the all-in-one experience until we bridged a few more divides, some of which have been entrenched in database development for decades. To truly unite databases with tables, query prompts with query generation, and maybe most importantly, our product team with the AI Query Community, we decided to take time to rebuild our Query Playground and reimagine our overall ecosystem experience. And today, all that hard, important work pays off. I’m excited to announce AI Query 2.0: the query engine that brings it all together: databases, queries, and the whole maker community. Here’s the summary. • A new Query Playground with (1) customizable view layouts, so you can finally have enough space to build queries with focus. And (2) the ability to bring the endless databases to life through a fully separate canvas. All built with experience and performance in mind. • A new Database onboarding experience. • A new Profile & Plan management. • A new Slack Community to share and stay connected to our product teams. • A new invite ecosystem. Where you can invite anyone to join and use AI Query as you do. • And some of your most requested updates: Everything from dark mode (we developers live in the dark to serve the light), to profile management, to documentation, to feedback.
