Hey Product Hunt! I’m Tanay, co-founder & CEO of Wispr Flow.

When we launched Flow on Mac and Windows, thousands of users had the same feedback: “I still lose ideas when I’m away from my desk.”

With Flow for iPhone, you can capture ideas, clear your Slack inbox, and ... from anywhere--on a walk, coffee in hand or mid bench press. It's dictation for iPhone that formats, adapts, and just works.

What’s in the iOS release?

- Works in every app – WhatsApp, iMessage, Slack, Notion—Flow just appears.

- Whisper – Dictate late-night thoughts without waking anyone up.

- Cross-device sync – Start a Flow Note iPhone, finish your thought on on Mac or Windows .

- Privacy Mode – Your data, your control with zero data retention in Privacy Mode.

We've heard from beta testers they reply to emails 60% faster, plus they're capturing to-dos they'd normally forget.

We’d love your feedback on:

1. Where dictation with Flow shines—or falls short—in your workflow.

2. Shortcuts we should add (AirPods tap to dictate? Apple Watch queue for your runs? CarPlay commands?).

3. Features you want next.

We’ll be here all day answering questions and shipping quick tweaks. If Flow saves you a few keystrokes, your support or comment would mean the world to the team.

Thanks for checking us out and helping us change the way people interact with technology!

Looks really interesting!
Excited to see where this goes! Always great to see tools that aim to simplify tasks. Best of luck with the launch! 🚀👏

I’m impressed with the implementation here — Apple doesn’t make it easy. Despite the occasional added friction of opening the app, I find myself using Wispr on iOS daily - the higher fidelity transcription is very impressive.

Matt Swulinski

@rajiv_ayyangar The team has put a lot of work over the last couple weeks, really putting in the polish around latency, responsiveness, and interactivity features. Glad you like them!

Ruslan Davletshin

Great to see the iOS version after getting used to the Mac one. I enjoy using it to quickly capture new ideas as they come!

Matt Swulinski

@ruslan_davletshin Amazing to hear. Where do you use it most? In Mac vs iOS?

Ruslan Davletshin

@mswulinski If we’re talking screen time to Wispr Flow usage ratio, the iOS is a clear winner!

Matt Swulinski

Now I don't have to look at a message on my phone, put it down, and open up my laptop to use Wispr Flow to effortlessly dictate what I want to respond to someone in iMessage or Slack. The ability to dictate a background note without unlocking my phone is a hidden but life-changing feature once you enable it!

What's your favorite way to use the product on mobile?

Tanay Kothari

@mswulinski I usually start my day by making to-do lists in Flow’s in-app notes. It’s the fastest way for me to clear my head and get a sense of what needs to get done :)

Noor Sharma

@mswulinski I love prompting GPT on the go!

Rajiv Ayyangar

@mswulinski how do you set up dictation without unlocking your phone? I haven't seen that feature!

Constanza Hasselmann

Good question, @rajiv_ayyangar ! You map the "dictate with Flow" shortcut to your action button (later iPhones) and voila. Reach out if you have any issues

Launching soon!

Sounds like a shortcut for everywhere with text!

Don't even need to worry about typos.

Congratulations :)

Matt Swulinski

@pritraveler Plus, you can also capture notes quickly using the built-in notes feature. Let us know what you think!

Noor Sharma

Thank you,@pritraveler !
I agree, it’s perfect for getting stuff out of my head without fussing over how it sounds.

Sam @CRANQ

Flow for iPhone is such a smart follow-up - Capturing ideas while walking or clearing Slack in between sets lol? That’s how mobile dictation should work.

Best of luck with the launch!!

Noor Sharma

@cranqnow Thank you, Sam 😎 Would love to know what you'd like to see next!

Sam @CRANQ

@noorbadalsharma Will be sure to let you know!!

Matt Swulinski

@cranqnow You can even squeeze in a response in between reps. 💪🏻

Sam @CRANQ

@mswulinski I do be gymming daily :)

Supa Liu

The ability to speak naturally and get clean, well-formatted text—complete with tone matching and auto-edits—is incredibly impressive.

Noor Sharma

@supa_l Totally agree—I love how natural it feels. Do try the in-app notes to jot down thoughts on the go :)

Dan Pierce

Congrats on your launch🎉
We can imagine running multiple apps on a Mac at the same time, running Slack or Notion while running Flow, and there are other similar Voice to Text apps. But on an iPhone, we need to focus on one app. Background usage is limited, and I was very curious to see how you would bring Flow to iOS. And you surprisingly made it possible to run Flow on the keyboard. I was very impressed and I think it makes sense.

Good luck team👋

Noor Sharma

Thanks for the support, @d41  it’s one of those things you don’t realise you needed until you try it😉

Noor Sharma

As someone always on the move, Flow’s been incredibly helpful! I deal with cyber sickness when I stare at screens too long while traveling, so being able to talk through emails, notes, and to-dos without looking down constantly has been the most incredible upgrade to my life 😁

Love that it just works wherever I need it.

Matt Swulinski

@noorbadalsharma My girlfriend experiences the same thing, and it's been such a life changer to quickly respond to messages instead of trying to focus on your thumbs on top of the movement when traveling!

Tushar Sadana

This was well needed! I can literally throw my ideas really fast and and get them on my laptop without any extra efforts

Matt Swulinski

@tushar_sadana For a lot of things, you won't even have to pull out your laptop! Given that Flow is now on Mac and PC, plus iOS, I just speak instead of typing everywhere.

Noor Sharma

@tushar_sadana Glad to hear it’s hitting the mark! Here’s to seeing you on next month’s leaderboard roundup 💪

Kathe Jordan

So far I’ve been loving it for quick notes and reminders. What if there was a feature that lets me tag parts of a voice dictation to follow up later, kind of like a verbal bookmark?

Noor Sharma
@kathe_jordan agreed, verbal bookmarks sound interesting! Would definitely make notes incredibly easy to update and follow.
Sofiia Kunakh

This looks interesting! How fast is onboarding for Wispr Flow, and do you provide tutorials or community support?

Matt Swulinski

@sofiia_kunakh We have an onboarding flow in the app that just takes a couple of minutes, and you'll have everything you need to get started!

We also have a Slack community that you can join for support & to get the latest on updates + new features.

Gaurav Vohra

Wispr Flow probably shot to one of my top 3 most used apps in just a few short days. Apparently I've dictated over 80k words in 10 weeks across desktop and iOS. Juggling ten clients and three kids is no joke, and being able to speak to communicate speeds me up by about 2-3x. Yes, I wrote this review with Wispr Flow ;)

Constanza Hasselmann

80K words is no joke either! Glad to hear Flow for iPhone and Desktop helps you do it all—from startup guru to super dad.

Appreciate your support, @gaurav_vohra.

Jaisal Kothari

I've been waiting for this for a long time. There are just so many use cases here. Typing on mobile is such a hassle, and this is literally the best alternative I've used. Thanks, Wispr Team, for making this happen!

Matt Swulinski

@jaisal_kothari Thank you for the support! What's your favorite use case?

Dee

I love how it integrates with my keyboard. I don't need to go to a separate app to do the dictation. Using it daily to write my to-dos in Apple Notes!

Matt Swulinski

@deemadh19 I wasn't a big note taker before Flow, and now that friction point is completely removed + I find myself using the Notes inside of Wispr to capture my thoughts.

Manu Goel
Launching soon!

Does it also do some kind of summarization and clean-up?

Matt Swulinski

@manu_goel2 Flow automatically formats what you dictate, adding punctuation, cleaning up spelling, and making what you say succinct while keeping the intent of the message.

Tony Xiao

Tried this out. This is awesome. I was looking for this exact thing before on iOS, and it did not exist—or at least I couldn't find it. One thing that would make it a lot better though is if I can see a live transcript, even if it is not the final version before I press the finish button. Also, it would be much nicer if the Flow keyboard kept the letters there, because I do find it that I need to make corrections every few messages for a word or two, and it is quite inconvenient to have to switch back and forth. Speaking of which, is Flow able to see when I make edits to dictation and learn/adapt from my edits?

Constanza Hasselmann

Hey @tony_xiao , Thanks for checking out the product! Hear you on the live transcript and letter keyboard, shared with the team.

Flow for Desktop learns from your edits using our smart dictionary. Not available on iOS quite yet!

Gabe Perez

Was just talking to someone about how I wished Wispr or @Aqua Voice had a mobile version....and LOOK WHAT JUST DROPPED. I'm so excited to try this. Any plans to add "voice notes" along with the next version giving the recipients an option to listen as well?

Edit: using it now, what does "background mic" do? Couldn't find any documentation on this!

PS. I actually really enjoyed the commercial, well done!

Constanza Hasselmann

@gabe Ask and ye shall receive :) What would you want to use voice notes for? Interesting idea!

The background mic toggle is like starting a Flow Session. This means you can tap the microphone from your keyboard to dictate with Flow--no need to return to the app.

Glad you're enjoying the product!

Gabe Perez

@constanza_hasselmann quickly realize background mic was a clever way to get around the app switching!

Great question! Sometimes I'm in transit (biking, packed Tokyo train, hands full with kiddos) and can only listen/speak so would love to be able to incorporate my current voice message approach with dictation giving the recipients the option to both listen or read depending on what's best for them at the time.

Right now Apple's solution falls short, especially since my comms happen in multiple languages. Appreciate the response, Constanza!

Steven Tey

Have been using Wispr Flow for the last couple of months now and it's been a gamechanger...excited to see more cross-device support here!

Noor Sharma

@steventey We’re really excited about cross-device too, and there’s more coming soon. Appreciate you being part of the ride!

Thibault Mundele

Doppppe video!

Noor Sharma

@thibault_mundele We had too much fun making it!
