Why We Built Wibe
Growing up in a village, I had big ideas but no one to share them with.
No mentors, no peers, just silence and self-doubt. Every fall felt lonelier than the last.
Later in life, help came from unexpected places, Strangers became mentors.
And each time, I found myself asking:
"Where were you all this time?"
Wibe was born from that question.
We believe that just one connection can change the course of someone’s journey — the hard part is finding that person.

Right now, we don’t collect any app usage data, and users’ email addresses are not visible to other members - only their name and username are shown.
We also don’t serve ads or engage in any kind of targeting. All data is encrypted during transmission(HTTPS), and we're committed to handling user data with strict care and responsibility.
Security and privacy are non negotiables for us. We're continuously working to strengthen both as we grow.

The idea and purpose behind Wibe are powerful and much needed. Just one thing I felt it would really help to clearly separate what’s available now vs. what’s coming soon. For example, payments and analytics sound exciting but it's unclear if they're live.
Also, a web version would be super useful not everyone prefers mobile for community work. Wishing you all the best ahead!

Sorry for the confusion, payments and analytics are launching by the end of this month, and we're working on the web version too.
We prioritized mobile first for real-time communication and community engagement, but the web platform is definitely on the roadmap.

we're starting by onboarding early creators we already know, running tight feedback loops, and helping them build meaningful communities from day one.
Also focusing on quality over quantity early on, so the experience feels valuable and intentional. Still early, but learning fast!
The offline events integration is smart. Most platforms forget about IRL.
