Keep forgetting how you signed in for websites? Google? Or was it Facebook or Twitter? A browser extension to save you from creating new accounts by accident. It remembers which social login you used last time for you.
Hello Hunters πΊοΈ,
I'm finally launching my second product!
Backstory - I need to fix this π οΈ
Regularly when I'm coming back to sites I'm signed out again. So far pretty normal. When I want to sign in again I often struggle to remember how I signed in last time. Was it Google? Facebook? Or Twitter? π€οΈ I vaguely remember that I used one of these - but I'm not sure which one. I click on my best guess and it doesn't take long to realize: Nope, that wasn't it. I've just created a new account π€¬οΈ
Whenever this happened I solve the problem and went back to what I actually wanted to do. I usually put it off as "I'm the only one being to unable to remember." Until the day I spotted a tweet and realized: I'm not the only one π€―οΈ
Should I solve this? π€οΈ Yea, let's give it a try.
The solution ποΈ
I've decided to build a solution for it and learn how to build a browser extension along the way. The same night I started by adopting examples Mozilla provided. After a number of rewrites, it's stable and working as I hope ποΈ
It's now checking the last pages accessed while you surf. If a sign-in is recognized, it adds the name of the network (Twitter, Facebook, Google or GitHub) to the page. No data is sent to my server, ever. Everything stays in the local storage ποΈ
Keen to get it? ποΈ
Head over to WhichLogin.com or the Chrome Store link on the top right. I highly appreciate if you would check it out and give me feedback ποΈ

Okay... this is something I never knew I wanted so badly... But once i saw the whole pitch of the idea thats when i thought "Dayum son this is what i had missing all my life"
I need this and so I shelled out the $5 immediately. However, getting "Could not decode image gray.svg" error and nothing else happens (won't load into my Chrome browser on Windows 7 machine.)
@spekulatius1984 No problem. Btw, if you're looking to test who suffers from the problem the most I just launched a service where for $12 you can ask 100 random people a question, and then follow-up and interview them based on how they answered. https://scoops.io/.
E.g. you could ask "How often do you forget which email you used to log into a site?" and then dig deeper based on how they answer! I'll give you $12 in free credits so you can get the initial question for free if you decide to give it a shot.
Just thought it may be of use to you. Best of luck otherwise!
Nice idea, appreciated.
How about giving a free trail of like 7 days? It is the best thing to hook-up new users. Once they are in for 7 days, it is hard for them to leave.
This is awesome. I needed this before signing into PH 60 seconds ago! I thought I created my PH account with Twitter.... nope. FB....nope. Google....Yup.
I am CONSTANTLY creating new accounts on websites accidentally, only because I can't remember which social network I used to login.
Peter's extension is a life saver.
I NEEDED this. I have question though -
I have 2 different Google accounts. On some websites, I use Google Account 1 to login and on others, I use Google Account 2 to login. Can this extension detect which account I had used to login last time?
Hello @vicky_buddie
that's actually a pretty good question. The extension can only detect which network you used at the moment. But adding an option to add a note should be feasible. This way you could manually add "1" or "2" for example. Do you think this would solve your problem?
