Warp University is now available!

The team over at Warp is cooking. A lot of users still have tons of questions about how to use Warp effectively to code and learn prompt-driven development. So...

They launched Warp University with >20 videos:

πŸ”₯ Getting started guides

πŸ”₯ Useful developer workflows

πŸ”₯ Using MCP servers

πŸ”₯ Setting custom Rules

πŸ”₯ Prompts to get better AI responses

Just out of curiosity. How did this idea come to life? Did you have users asking for this concept (like your reaction) or did you spot any trend (pro-active approach)?

@busmark_w_nika Hey! Jess here, Warp's developer advocate - thanks for your question!

Honestly, it was a mix of both. We knew Warp University was something that we needed to do as a "no brainer" - we wanted educational materials to teach people how to use the command line (vim, docker, writing scripts, etc.) but as we started pivoting into the AI devtool space, it was clear we needed to teach people how to code by prompt as well (good prompts, type of rules, AI permissioning, etc). I've been wanting to create something like this for Warp for 2-3 years, but never had the time to make it come to fruition.

For a while, we were just publishing one-off materials to our Youtube channel, but it wasn't a concerted effort. We've also tried other avenues, like https://dothings.warp.dev/ as a place to share prompts. But it never really took off.

But in the last few months, we were getting a lot of requests through X, Github issues, email support, requesting materials along these lines. This really pushed us to sprint on building Warp University, which took about 1-2 months to get this V1 version out (building out the website, and creating the first batch of content). The positive feedback to Warp University has been overwhelming and encourages us to continue creating content for this effort!

@fuddgubbler Nice story, IMO, when people ask for something and you deliver it, it has a bigger chance to succeed! :)

I like this. I watched all the videos on YouTube, and I hope we will find even more great content here.
