Building in Public: My 3-Month Video-Coding Collab Experiment
Since late 2023, I’ve posted over dozens of bite-sized “Cursor coding” posts on Reddit—some gloriously bug-ridden, some surprisingly useful. The motivation? I wanted to prove (mostly to myself) that I could build small features people actually care about, and maybe make some friends along the way.

About a month ago, I started exchanging emails with a UK Redditor interested in video coding and potential product collaborations. We got along, riffed on ideas, and now we’re officially kicking off a “3-month experiment” to see if we can ship something together. So far we’ve:
Nailed down a core feature prototype
Divided roles and tech stack (I handle Cursor scripts; they’re on the front end)
Thrown together a rough demo—admittedly it looks like a ’90s PowerPoint…
Next up: streamline the workflow, hook up the data pipeline, and run a small user test. I’ll be honest—I’m a bit nervous about the ticking clock. What if this all ends in a glorified “for fun” project? But I’d be more afraid of never trying.
That said, I’d love your thoughts:
Does this collab approach make sense to you?
Any similar experiences or gotchas to flag?
Drop your feedback or wild ideas below, and let’s co-create something awesome!
