After leaving Google, I finally got time to be exposed to external tools and the changing tech landscape. I tried Cursor and felt empowered to build anything. I want to create this same feeling for game developers, of all skill levels. I want them to open up Unveil and feel they can make their dream game.

@shushantlakhyani admittedly, I've gotten some backlash from some game dev circles that are generally against AI but the goal is for Unveil to help game devs build great games.
Unveil sounds incredible! It’s great to see a game engine that’s both beginner-friendly and powerful. The inclusion of an AI assistant to guide users through the process is such a smart touch, especially for those new to game development. Do you have specific types of content in mind, like 2D assets, 3D models, or interactive elements? It would be great to know how Unveil handles this - does it allow users to import content from external sources, or is everything designed natively within the engine?
@evgenii_zaitsev1 Unveil will be a full fledge game engine foremost, so external assets and "manually" coding and tweaking components will be supported for those who prefer making games this way.
But the built in AI assistant is going to handle asset generation, from art to music to scripts and how levels are designed.
Because the scope of this is massive, 2D games will be supported at launch (TBD) with 3D following! 3D is challenging but some of my dream games I have in mind are 3D so ofc I want to support this in Unveil lol
Thank you for your thoughtful question, Evgeii! (:
From Google to building a tool that inspires creators—love the mission here. Making game development accessible with AI will spark so much innovation!
@parth_ahir it's been quite a journey. Before Google I was a construction worker lol I'm excited to spend more times making and playing games made by Unveil (:
While coding for apps etc is very code heavy much of the process of game development happens in a different UI (Inspector, Asset Manager etc.). I see you trying to apply the cursor model to e.g. Unity as engine but can you tell more how you want to automate the process of navigating the UI of an engine itself?
@finn_kosina the engine will be Unity-like but will be built from scratch (Unity and other popular engines don't exactly have good licenses to allow forking), hence the long dev cycle to an MVP. And you're absolutely right, Finn, game dev is more than just scripting, it's everything else - it's truly an art form bringing many disciplines and sciences together.
Primarily, the AI assistant will help with asset generation (code, art, sound, etc) and desigining levels but the goal is to build tools right into the game engine editor that the AI can use complete tedious tasks and collaborate with game devs.
I'm still ironing out a good UX but a general AI prompt window will do strings of tasks ("PROMPT: make an enemy that walks around and is alerted and attacks if in range of the player." -> create "placeholder" enemy model -> add basic behavior tree w/ proximity checks -> animation for walk, alert, and attack).
Meanwhile, more focused AI prompts in the windows of the other UI (Game Object Inspector, Audio Manager, etc) will do focused tasks ([In Audio Manager] "PROMPT: make a low hum background music" -> generates sound -> "PROMPT: slightly quieter" -> edits sound).
A game dev doesn't have to know the engine UI to start making great games with Unveil but ofc the better you know the tool / know how to prompt the more you'll get out of it! (:
Unveil = Game dev superpowers for beginners! 🎮 AI assistant guides you through building 2D/3D worlds - zero experience needed. Perfect for bringing your game ideas to life fast. #NoCodeGameDev
