Become a 100x Developer with AI-Powered Project Management
Todo2 transforms developers into AI-powered project managers who never leave Cursor. Research, plan, and execute entire projects with superhuman productivity through MCP integration.
Hey Product Hunt! I’m the creator of Todo2, and I built this because I kept losing flow every time I had to leave Cursor to plan, prioritize or look up docs. Switching between Cursor, ChatGPT, Notion and Jira felt like a productivity killer. So I decided to bring project management inside the code editor.
What’s new & unique about Todo2:
AI-powered task creation - Just type a natural-language prompt and Todo2 will draft your to-dos, assign priorities, estimate effort and even auto-research the latest docs (e.g. Next.js auth, Tailwind plugins) without leaving Cursor.
Zero context-switching - Everything lives in a side-panel inside Cursor, so you never have to Alt-Tab out to manage your backlog or fetch code samples.
Code-aware insights - Todo2 inspects your files and project structure to suggest relevant tasks (“set up ESLint rules for this repo”) or link directly to code snippets while Cursor is in charge through MCP and adding comments to the tasks.
Lightweight & extendable - Built as a native Cursor extension, it feels snappy and can be customized with your own AI prompts or workflows.
What I’m most proud of:
Delivering a seamless, end-to-end developer workflow, from brainstorming features to writing the first line of code, without ever leaving the editor.
An intuitive UI that just works: you can monitor tasks, write comments, learn a ton from AI comments in tasks.
Seeing early users already shaving minutes off every coding session and discovering new productivity gains.
Would love to hear what you think, any feature requests, or just general feedback, thank you for checking out Todo2 https://todo2.pro! 😊
Absolutely love how Todo2 lets me handle all my project planning and execution right inside Cursor—seriously boosts productivity, and the MCP integration is a total gamechanger, thanks team!
@joey_zhu_seopage_ai Thank you, it's nice to hear that! I am using it every day, it still needs some polishing, but I think it's useful thing to control AI workflow inside Cursor and learn a ton from tasks descriptions/comments which AI does. 😊
@samihindi hi, very great question! In my opinion, Cursor Agent todos are a linear breakdown of larger problems into smaller parts, an attempt to optimize context, and preparation for longer-running background agents. But it only does this within a single prompt or a few within the session, quickly loses track, and lacks an overview of the whole project. Also you can't learn about key decission points when implementation happens.
What’s different is that Todo2 turns the chat into a structured workflow. Tasks are created and can be hierarchically dependent on each other. When a task moves to “in progress,” proper, up-to-date research is done on it, it gets developed, the solution is verified and submitted for review to check if it’s okay. If it is, then it gets documented, and future chat sessions are aware of it. Finally, there’s a refinement step to evaluate whether the other tasks still make sense or need to be adjusted/deleted/created. It also notifies the person when they need to do something (e.g. API keys, messaging someone).
@ekusiadadus Thank you for you suppor! 👍 It's built with NEXT.js and shadcn, it definitelly needs some polishing still, but I am using it every day for all my coding sessions so it's optimized for usability, check also tab Activity, there you will see backlog of all MCP calls, it's great in yolo mode where MCP calls are automatically allowed. 😆
Ok this is exactly what I needed, will need to play around abit to see if it works for me but extremely interested in it. Best of luck with the launch!
@guillermo_bascunana Hi, thank you! You are right that landing page is too verbose and fluffy. I am working on more content on Youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/@Todo2pro to showcase Todo2 better and I will use it for landing page also.
@naderikladious Thanks! I am using it every day also so I truly recommend it. 😆 Check the coupon for free unlimited membership there are some seats left - TODO2FREE and let me know with any feedback. 😊
Impressive work! I'm particularly excited about the auto-research feature. Could this potentially integrate with company-specific documentation or internal APIs? That would make it even more powerful for enterprise teams. @adam_pavlat

Nice! How is this different from the new ToDo feature from Cursor?

I recommend trying it out. 😊
@adam_pavlat Thanks for this thorough breakdown! I found the Cursor implementation too sloppy as well, so I might give todo2 a try :)
Todo2's Kanban is insane!

As quick feedback, personally I don't get a clear picture of the main functionality, features etc when I first checked the landing page

@adam_pavlat Sure thing 😊 👍
Upvoted! Congrats for the launch guys!
I've created a free website report for you, there you can see the grammar analysis, GDPR, CCPA compliance and more. Fixing them could increase the user trust and conversion rates:
