Slack is a collaboration hub for work, no matter what work you do. It’s a place where conversations happen, decisions are made, and information is always at your fingertips. With Slack, your team is better connected.
this is legitimately the greatest (enterprise) software that has ever existed. you know...in my opinion. i actually look forward to working with my team in @slackhq every day.
@slackhq@pomajp actually you are absolutely right this enterprise software have changed the way of corporate working spaces specially during this work from module to infinite level
happy working
I'm a part of a ton of Slack communities but I'm active in only a handful.
Slack works to its fullest only when it is implemented in a team and everyone's supposed to use it for communication. Slack could/should improve on making the communities on it better by adding relevant features.
As a remote designer, this is a must have. I'm always contactable and available. Super easy way to also have quick calls and communicate with other team members on different teams.
Pros:
Possibility to be logged on multiple teams, being available at all times on mobile and desktop, and easy to connect with other services.
Cons:
I'm pretty happy with Slack, so no cons for now :)
I've tried all the team messaging tools out there, and I think that this is by far the most effective, elegant one there is. It integrate with all the other services you could possibly use like Github and Asana, and they're probably going to implement even deeper integration now that they've raised a large round of funding.
Is it me or Notifications on iOS are really slow. I don't get notifications in time when i'm pinged. Is this happening to anyone else? Except that it rocks.
Slack is legit. It has really helped change the communication culture and patterns at our agency. A huge bonus is how receptive to new ideas the Slack team is. Highly recommend this product. Keep an eye on it for sure.
Our team switched from hipchat -> slack about two weeks ago. Slack added a couple of the "must have" features we needed. So far very pleased with the switch
I don't know how my team survived without Slack previously. We switched from Skype (could never get on with Hipchat) and haven't looked back. The search is miles better, the mobile apps are incredible, and the integrations with things like Trello, ProdPad and MailChimp just make it a no-brainer.
Seems that a lot of the key features people were missing in the previous comments here (search, custom emoticons) are now in place. Time to give it another go? :)
