✨ While building my dream app, I built a little $1.49 file organizer to save my sanity
Hey everyone 👋
I’m Asmit — a young maker with a dream: I’m building Vynance, a personal finance & accounting app to help freelancers and small businesses take control of their money without stress.
I started building Vynance because I believe everyone deserves clarity and peace when it comes to their finances — and I wanted to create something meaningful.
But in the middle of building it… my own workspace became chaos.
📂 Folders overflowing with logs, drafts, database dumps.
📂 Duplicate screenshots and PDFs everywhere.
📂 A mess that left me frustrated and slowed me down.
I realized: how can I build something to bring order to others’ lives if I can’t even bring order to my own?
So, one quiet night, I put Vynance aside for a few hours and wrote a little script — something small just for myself — to clean up my folders, sort files neatly, and remove duplicates.
That little script saved me hours and gave me back my focus.
It felt like a weight lifted.
So I thought… maybe it can help someone else too.
I polished it up and turned it into a tiny, no-frills, $1.49 micro-product:
✅ Sorts your files by type & date
✅ Finds & removes duplicate files
✅ Works on any folder you choose
✅ Runs locally — no login, no cloud, no noise

I’d also love to hear your thoughts:
❤️ Have you struggled with the same kind of digital mess?
❤️ Would you use a tool like this?
❤️ Any advice for someone just starting to ship his first products?
Thank you for reading — and for inspiring me to keep building.
